Methodist Charles Wesley is a private Christian school which enrolls Junior and High school students. It also provides a Vocational education for those students who are interested in acquiring more specialized academic skills in music. Each of them has been competently accredited and obtained A (Excellent) by the National Board of Accreditation for Higher Education. Since our initial operation in 2009, our school has been in tight affiliation with Methodist 2 Medan, one of the most prominent Christian private schools in North Sumatra.
Methodist-2 Medan has a comprehensive three-year school program for both its junior and high school levels that have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation for Higher Education. Both Methodist Charles Wesley and Methodist 2 Medan, though standing as two independent entities, they share the same foundational core such as curriculum, disciplinary rules, moral of conduct and others. Methodist Charles Wesley is acclaimed for its learning environment; encouraging academic excellence while emphasizing the importance of attitude. We strive to provide a community that empowers students and nurtures them into competitive yet humble individuals.

Methodist Charles Wesley academic program tightly adheres to Indonesia’s national school-based curriculum or Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) and K-13 with the marking guidelines based on the student’s knowledge, accumulation of skills, attitude as well as their characters. Methodist Charles Wesley possess the flexibility to adopt both national and international curriculum. The international curriculum includes Mathematics, English, Chinese, and Science that have been thoroughly designed based on the international curriculum policy. Expectantly, it will manage and prepare those students who are planning to study abroad.
We are chiefly concerned to ensure the application of best practices in education within our academic programs. The staff and teachers are not only continuously motivated to apply those practices, but they are also being trained to adapt their teaching strategies/practices to student needs.
We actively examine and proceed some of the best practice in education regarding the curriculum policy. Therefore, the education system in Methodist Charles Wesley School has adequately fulfilled the national expectation and requirements by maintaining both students' characteristics and academic perfomance.

Our teaching force consists of individuals coming from specialized academic backgrounds that directly align with the subjects they are in charge of. With a total of 32 teachers, 14 of them have attained Master Degree in their respective subjects. In Methodist Charles Wesley, teachers are nurtured to provide Holistic approach and work as a community, in which every action should align and be in accordance with the vision and mission of the school.

As of today, our students’ achievements are not only remarked by their in-school trophies from winning competitions but also the increasing records of their enrollment to prestigious universities all over the world starting from Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, France, and many others with some receiving various scholarship upon their acceptance.
